Nevada Nano

1395 Greg Street, Suite 102, Sparks, Nevada, 89431, United States

Overview

NevadaNano develops low-power gas sensors and emissions-tracking platforms for methane, hydrogen and flammable gases. Its core hardware is the MPS sensor, which the company says is the lowest-power solution and cannot be poisoned or saturate like traditional sensors; NevadaNano cites seven years of data showing calibration is not needed (bump testing remains best practice). The company offers the MethaneTrack™ platform and proprietary Leak Source Isolation™ software for close-proximity detection, leak localization and quantification. NevadaNano has deployed four MethaneTrack sites in the Haynesville Basin, installing MPS sensors across 63 methane endpoints in one day to monitor tanks, wells, compressors and separators under EPA guidance. It plans to launch a new MethaneTrack platform at ADIPEC and is actively promoting its sensors and platforms in regions including the GCC and at Sensor China. Financially, NevadaNano completed a $30 million Series C to accelerate development of new emissions-tracking technology. NevadaNano develops Molecular Property Spectrometer (MPS) gas‑sensing products that combine multiple MEMS sensors, environmental sensors and algorithms to identify and quantify a wide range of gases. Its technology, licensed from the University of Nevada, Reno, is designed for distribution in homes, offices and outdoor settings to monitor exposure to hazardous gases and to take action to protect health. The company’s first MPS products are sampling to select customers as it prepares for market launch. NevadaNano is led by President Ralph Whitten. Financially, the company has completed a $18M Series B and previously raised $1.5M in a Series A. The new capital will be used to accelerate the market launch of its gas‑sensing products.
