New Engen is a Seattle-based digital marketing startup led by former Zulily employees that claims to boost return on ad investment through proprietary technology. The company lists customers including Rover, Thrive Causemetics and Volt Athletics on its website. Leadership includes CEO David Atchison, president and co-founder Justin Hayashi, and chief engineer and co-founder Jean-Guy Speton, all formerly of Zulily. According to LinkedIn and the company website, New Engen has 36 employees and seven open positions. The startup previously raised $2.5 million last September and has since filed to raise an additional $8 million. Company representatives did not respond to multiple requests for comment. The formation of New Engen is described as a venture-backed spinout from Zulily.
