NewBridge Pharmaceuticals FZ-LLC is a Dubai-based specialty pharmaceutical, biologics, medical devices and diagnostics company that in-licenses and commercializes FDA- and EMA-approved therapeutics, devices and diagnostics. Its portfolio targets diseases including cancer, diabetes, renal and cardiovascular diseases and other metabolic disorders. The company serves the Emerging Markets of Africa, the Middle East, Turkey and the Caspian regions (AfMET). NewBridge closed a $12M Series B financing, bringing total capital raised to date to $16M. In conjunction with the financing the company appointed Joseph W. Henein as President and CEO and added Qais Marafie to its board. G. Garrett Vygantas was named Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Business Development, and Victor A. Hebert succeeded G. Steven Burrill as board chairman while Burrill remains on the board.
