Newleos Therapeutics is a clinical-stage neuroscience company with a clinical-stage pipeline licensed from Roche that includes oral small molecules targeting GABAA-γ1, V1a, TAAR1 and GABAA-α5. Its lead program, NTX-1955 (RO7308480), is a first-in-class GABAA-γ1 selective positive allosteric modulator that completed a comprehensive non-clinical package and Phase 1 studies showing it is safe, well tolerated, brain penetrant and selective. Newleos plans to investigate NTX-1955 in proof-of-concept clinical studies for generalized anxiety disorder. Additional assets include NTX-1472 (V1a antagonist) poised for proof-of-concept studies in social anxiety disorder, NTX-2001 (ralmitaront, a TAAR1 partial agonist) intended for substance use disorders, and NTX-1511 (basmisanil, a GABAA-α5 NAM) aimed at cognitive impairment in rare neurodevelopmental indications. The company intends to use capital to conduct proof-of-concept clinical trials across these programs. Roche received an upfront payment as part of the licensing agreement and is eligible for success-based milestones and royalties.
