Newton School is an edtech platform that enables people to become highly skilled software developers and get into tech careers through a cohort-based program. Its six-month course includes 1000+ hours of coding, 50+ hours of soft-skills training, live projects and mentorship designed by reverse engineering industry requirements. Founded in 2019 by Nishant Chandra and Siddharth Maheshwari and based in Bengaluru, the company says students have been hired by more than 100 companies, from startups to large MNCs. The startup recently launched an all-women tech program to help women re-enter the workforce with industry-ready skills. Newton School raised USD 5M in a Series A and plans to use the funds to expand operations and develop AI-driven products to streamline and personalize each student's learning journey. Investors in the round include existing backers and several prominent tech founders and executives.
