Overview

Nexa3D designs and sells ultrafast production‑grade polymer 3D printers and supporting hardware and software to enable scaled additive manufacturing. Its portfolio includes the NXE400 photoplastic printer (marketed with a 20X productivity improvement), the NXD200 large‑format dental lab printer, xCure post‑processing equipment, and the NexaX 2.0 software platform. The company has expanded its materials library to 16 materials, added Quantum Laser Sintering capabilities, and introduced a full range of supply‑chain‑approved powder‑fusion plastics, which the company says effectively doubles its addressable market. Nexa3D plans to use new funding to bolster manufacturing, scale commercial and reseller channels globally, expand customer acquisition and success operations, and accelerate multiple new product launches. It also intends to fast‑track the development and commercialization of a new class of performance polymers and to accelerate deployment of its proprietary software platform. The company says these moves support its goal of moving additively manufactured polymers from prototyping into production during a challenging operating environment. Nexa3D develops fast industrial-grade stereolithography 3D printers powered by proprietary Lubricant Sublayer Photo-curing (LSPc) technology and a patented structured light matrix. Its technology can reach top speeds of 1 cm per minute, reducing 3D printing cycles of precision functional parts from hours to minutes. The company is led by executive Chairman Avi Reichental and positions its products as affordable for professionals and businesses of all sizes. The recent investment brings the company’s total funding to $10M across various funding instruments. As part of the deal, strategic investor XYZprinting will manufacture and sell Nexa3D printers under the XYZ brand and produce white-labeled products for other industry customers. Nexa3D and its partners expect to achieve full commercial status during the second half of 2018.
