Nexage operates a real-time bidding platform for mobile ads. The company said it will expand its technology to "other pieces of the ad stack" and is looking to grow in Asia following SingTel Innov8's involvement. CEO Ernie Cormier said the additional funding will help Nexage build connections in the digital media world and accelerate the maturity of the mobile advertising market. Hearst Interactive Vice President Darcy Frisch is joining Nexage's board as part of the deal. Nexage added $5M from Hearst to a $10M Series B announced in June, bringing that round to $15M and increasing total capital raised to $19.5M. Company leadership said the funding will be used to extend RTB leadership and push for more standardization in the mobile ad industry.
