NexDefense

3423 Piedmont Rd. NE, Atlanta, Georgia, United States

Overview

NexDefense develops Industrial Network Anomaly Detection (INAD) systems aimed at detecting intrusive and targeted cyber attacks on automation and control systems. Its flagship product, Sophia, was recently released to help engineers, security teams, and control system operators in critical infrastructure and defense facilities detect anomalies in real time and alert defenders before an adversary can have an impact. The company plans to use new funding to support commercial roll-out and additional product development of Sophia. NexDefense positions its technology to identify attempts to intrude or discover systems as they happen, addressing threats to automation and control environments. Leadership includes co-founders Derek Harp (executive chairman), Mike Sayre (CEO), and Michael Assante (chief security strategist). Financially, the company announced a $2.4M funding infusion to accelerate commercialization.
