Overview

Nexii Building Solutions designs and manufactures low‑carbon buildings and building products using its proprietary Nexiite material to reduce end‑to‑end carbon emissions, waste, and community disruption. The company targets scalable, rapid assembly of high‑quality buildings and infrastructure to address the climate impact of the built environment. Nexii's products have been used by clients including Starbucks, Popeyes and Marriott. Earlier in the year the company opened its first manufacturing plant in the United States and announced a partnership with Siemens to create and patent an electric‑vehicle charger prototype intended to simplify and reduce the environmental impact of EV charger installations. Led by CEO Stephen Sidwell, Nexii intends to use the new funds to accelerate growth and expand manufacturing capacity to meet demand for sustainable construction solutions. The company was valued at C$2.05 billion after the raise. Nexii develops innovative green building technologies and material systems designed to deliver sustainable, cost‑efficient, durable and disaster‑resilient buildings. The company operates one fully operational plant in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and has multiple new production facilities in development in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and one project in Pennsylvania, U.S. Its solutions target industrial, commercial, institutional, multi‑family and single‑family markets as well as retrofits; notable customers include Starbucks, Popeye’s and A&W. Nexii says it conducts ongoing third‑party testing across strength, durability and structural integrity categories. The company plans to use its latest funding to expedite opening a production facility in Squamish, B.C., expand its manufacturing partner program, and continue product innovation and development. Nexii positions its technology as a response to the construction sector’s large share of global emissions and waste. Financially, Nexii has raised more than C$66M to date and reported a valuation of C$620M (US$484M).
