Nexus develops, finances, and operates utility-scale solar and BESS projects with a lean, targeted development approach. The company is currently constructing two solar + BESS facilities on the ERCOT grid and has a strategic pipeline of projects slated for development and construction thereafter. Nexus received a $100 million GEMS™ catalytic equity investment from BadCarbon to fund new renewable projects and accelerate deployment. That equity complements a $300 million portfolio-level debt facility provided by funds and accounts managed by HPS Investment Partners that closed in November 2024. The combined capital is expected to increase renewable capacity as early as late 2025 with continued progress toward milestones through 2027. Projects backed by these investments are projected to deliver a lifetime output exceeding 45,000 GWh and sequester more than 3 million barrels of oil equivalent, while supporting grid reliability and emissions reductions.
