nez is a London-founded food and drinks discovery app that aggregates hyperlocal, real-time offers across central London neighborhoods such as Soho, Bank, Covent Garden, Holborn, Farringdon, Liverpool St, Old Street, St Paul’s and Chancery Lane. The app launched in 2016 and reports 385,000 food and drinks redemptions by 150,000 users. Redemptions have grown tenfold over the past 12 months, the company stated. Founder and CEO Joe Zender said the app was conceived to surface undernoticed offers and to drive customer traffic. Management intends to use new funding to help local food and drink businesses and to help revive the high street, per the founder’s comments. The company did not disclose other financial terms beyond the recently announced raise.
