Nightingales operates specialty home healthcare services that provide doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and trained paramedics to treat dementia, stroke management and other chronic diseases. It offers services on a subscription basis — for example, a fortnightly blood pressure and sugar test is charged at ₹1,000 a month. The company says it has around 8,000 patients and about 300 treatment providers on its rolls, with provider headcount expected to grow by 150% in the next two years. Nightingales was founded in 2014 and operates from Bangalore, with recent expansion to Hyderabad and Mumbai and plans to enter five cities in the South and West by 2018. Management highlights training of staff to address quality-of-service issues as the business scales. Company officials say they will raise additional funding depending on how the business grows.
