NineDot Energy designs, develops, and operates battery energy storage systems (BESS) that serve the New York City metropolitan grid. Its community-scale projects aim to deliver resilient, affordable power while lowering carbon emissions and improving environmental equity. The company currently has seven operating projects spread across four sites in Staten Island and The Bronx and maintains a pipeline of more than 60 additional projects. Backed by recent financing, it will construct 28 new battery storage installations totaling 124 MW / 494 MWh. NineDot also plans to expand beyond stationary storage by integrating mobile batteries and electric-vehicle charging at select locations. Management is evaluating opportunities to take its model beyond the New York City area. The recent $431 million debt raise materially strengthens its balance sheet and underwrites near-term project build-out.
