Nivelo is an early-stage payments startup founded by former JP Morgan executive Eli Polanco that offers a Risk Scoring API to assess transaction risk in real time. The company launched a private beta of its Risk Scoring API and describes an alpha product with a roadmap of additional products and services. Nivelo’s initial focus is on ACH payments, which the company says remain mired in legacy technology despite handling trillions in annual volume. The founder started the company in January and has leveraged her payments-product background to build the offering. The company reports it is live with a couple thousand users and has paying customers, though exact paying-customer counts were not disclosed. Nivelo positions its tooling to reduce friction for edge-case customers and broaden access to financial services.
