NjiaPay, spun out of the international calling app Talk360, offers a smart aggregation platform for Payment Service Providers (PSPs) across Africa. Its solution uses AI-powered intelligent routing and embedded fraud protection to give merchants a single, unified checkout while simplifying the management of disparate legacy payment rails. Co-founded by former Adyen executive Jonatan Allback (CEO) and Roderick Simons (CPTO), the company positions itself as a one-stop Payments-as-a-Service layer for the continent. With fresh capital, NjiaPay plans to deepen technical capabilities, broaden its product features, and enter additional African markets beyond its Cape Town base. The company previously secured a $1 million pre-seed round in January 2025 and has now added $2.1 million in seed financing, bringing total funding to $3.1 million. These resources will support both platform enhancements and geographic expansion to capture a larger share of Africa’s rapidly growing digital payments sector.
