Overview

Nomupay is an Irish fintech (founded in 2021) that offers a seamless, all‑in‑one payments solution via a gateway‑agnostic single API and single back‑office platform. The company supports pay‑ins, payouts and acquiring and serves 1,500+ merchants with a team of 230+ employees. It operates across Asia, EMEA and Europe and positions itself to simplify access to fragmented Asian payment markets for European, SEA, Middle East and ROW merchants. Nomupay says it will add additional countries and payment methods to support bi‑directional commerce between Japan, Asia and the rest of the world. The business aims to become the number one payment platform in Asia and cites regulatory and payments‑method complexity as drivers for demand. Recent financing activity and a strategic partnership with SB Payment Service Corp are intended to accelerate its regional expansion and product scalability. Nomupay builds cross-border payment rails and enables payments between countries that larger providers have overlooked, targeting merchants in Asia and the Middle East. Formed in 2023 out of Wirecard regional payment licenses, the company has grown 100% annually for the last two years and counts customers including Ikea. Nomupay projects it will turn profitable this year on ARR of about $20 million. Its platform addresses highly fragmented local payment methods and ISOs across multiple countries, supporting numerous wallets and regional payment schemes. It operates across Asia and beyond, with presences in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand, Dublin, London (including Manchester via the Total Processing acquisition), Vilnius, Istanbul, Dubai and New Zealand. Nomupay plans to continue M&A to expand — it's in talks with a Singapore fintech to secure a money license and is targeting Indonesia, Japan and Vietnam. The company positions itself as enabling local players to compete with larger monoliths like Adyen and Stripe by focusing on complexity and underserved markets. NomuPay offers the Unified Payments (uP) Platform, an omnichannel payments acceptance and payout disbursement solution delivered via a single API integration. The uP Platform is gateway-agnostic and designed to simplify fragmented payment infrastructure across Southeast Asia, Europe and Turkey, while augmenting existing payment stacks. The company targets scalable payment solutions with data management and reporting capabilities and has begun onboarding new clients as of Q4 2022. NomuPay is actively scaling its business in core markets and plans to use the new funding to enter additional markets and continue product development. Founded in 2021 and led by Peter Burridge, the executive team includes veterans from Hyperwallet (a PayPal service), US Bank, Barclays, Ingenico, Evo Payments and American Express. NomuPay maintains a presence in Dublin, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Istanbul and Bangkok.
