Nook
123 Commercial Road, London, E1 1NL, United Kingdom
Overview
Nook builds a trade collaboration platform to replace insecure, error-prone PDF invoices and email-based B2B payment processes. The product automatically extracts invoice data from PDFs, integrates with Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage, provides approval and payment flows, and links with businesses' existing bank accounts. The company plans to create a network of Nook customers to enable direct sharing of invoices and orders, which it says will drive faster payments, simplify debt chasing, and enforce payment terms. Co-founders Henry Arnold and Joe Lines launched the idea after encountering invoice fraud during consulting work. Nook intends to use its recent funding to expand product and engineering teams and to begin targeting SMEs and accountants with sales and marketing. The startup operates from London and Lisboa and sits alongside other B2B payments players such as Mondu, TIS, Briqpay, and Hokodo.
