Nordic Air Defence (NAD) is a Stockholm-headquartered defencetech startup that emerged from stealth in September 2024 with its first product, the Kreuger 100. The Kreuger 100 is a battery-powered, highly mobile, portable dual-use (civil and military) drone interceptor that replaces much traditional hardware with software. NAD says this approach makes the Kreuger 100 ten times cheaper to produce per unit than conventional anti-drone technology, enabling mass manufacture and scalable arsenals. The company positions the product for rapid deployment to address evolving drone threats and to reduce European dependence on US and global supply chains. NAD’s team includes veterans from Palantir, Kratos, Quantum Systems, FOI, Acast, Zipline, SAAB and others, and it has recently hired engineers from Anduril, Einride and FLIR. Financially, NAD expanded its Pre-Seed round with a $3M investment, bringing total Pre-Seed proceeds to $4.4M. Nordic Air Defence says it plans to expand its technology into land, sea, and subsea defence domains and pursue global markets.
