North AI is developing an AI-powered central hub to help the screen sector analyse commercial risk, potential gains and marketability of old and new titles. It aims to provide analytics to streamers, producers, studios and advertisers to inform creation, sales and positioning decisions. The company was co-founded by the team behind Paus (acquired by Cindie in September last year); CEO Rishi Kapoor previously worked at Warner Bros, NBCU and Sony. North AI has raised £580k, comprising a £280k Innovate UK grant and £300k from SFC Capital and private angel investors. The cash will be used to kick-start its AI development. In the future the company plans to expand into the advertising space.
