Northern Swan is an investment firm focused on transformative investments in the international cannabis industry in jurisdictions where cannabis is federally legal. The firm has offices in New York, Toronto, Bogota, and Frankfurt and invests across the global cannabis value chain. Its portfolio includes investments in Clever Leaves (a vertically integrated licensed medical cannabis producer in Colombia), Cansativa GmbH (a German distribution company) and Lift & Co. (a Canadian marketing and data company). Northern Swan's management team previously invested in excess of $3 billion of capital at Blackstone, KKR, and Och‑Ziff. Financially, the company has raised a total of $96 million to date, including a $58 million Series D announced April 10, 2019. It plans to use the new funds to expand Latin American operations, invest in low-cost large-scale cultivation and processing centers, and build distribution channels and brands across Europe, Latin America and North America.
