Notch Therapeutics

40 King Street West, Suite 2100, Toronto, Ontario, M5H 3C2, Canada

Overview

Notch Therapeutics develops homogeneous, universally compatible stem cell–derived T cell and NK cell therapies using its proprietary Engineered Thymic Niche (ETN) platform. The company has built an integrated platform for generating and editing immune cells from clonal induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and assembled a scientific team to advance multiple T cell therapeutic candidates. Notch has an existing partnership with Allogene Therapeutics to apply the ETN platform to CAR-targeted, off-the-shelf iPSC-derived T cell and NK cell therapies for hematologic cancers. The company intends to use new funding to advance its iPSC-derived T cell portfolio and to achieve clinical readiness for the ETN platform. Notch plans to expand its team to support growth and to establish operations in Seattle in addition to its existing Vancouver and Toronto operations. The technology originated in the laboratories of Juan-Carlos Zúñiga-Pflücker at Sunnybrook Research Institute and Peter Zandstra at the University of Toronto, and the company was incubated with support from MaRS Innovation and the Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine (CCRM).
