Overview
NovaMea is an EPFL spinoff developing patented anion exchange membrane (AEM) water electrolysers aimed at producing low-cost green hydrogen. Founded in 2023 from Prof. Xile Hu’s research lab, the company has a pipeline of four different classes of electrolyzers targeting large markets. NovaMea recently completed its first commercial contract with an early adopter and received positive feedback. The company raised $3.2M in a seed round, a capital increase intended to advance research and development, accelerate product development, and scale operations. The core team comprises four employees, including Chairman and co-founder Prof. Xile Hu and CEO Dr. Xingyu Wu. NovaMea plans to expedite commercialization of its technologies and position itself in sustainable energy solutions.
