Novellus is a clinical-stage drug developer focused on precision oncology, using its FACT functional genomics platform to identify molecularly defined patient subpopulations. Its lead program, PLX-8394, is a BRAF inhibitor licensed from Plexxikon (a Daiichi Sankyo company) and is in clinical development (NCT02428712). PLX-8394 was identified by Novellus’ platform for activity across a wide range of unique BRAF mutations. The company plans to prioritize clinical settings without FDA-approved BRAF inhibitors, including BRAF fusions and certain BRAF‑mutated gliomas. Proceeds from the recent financing will also be used to expand the pipeline by applying the FACT platform to other genes and compounds.
