Novian Health has developed Novilase, a laser-based, minimally invasive device designed to destroy breast tumors while preserving options for additional procedures or adjunctive therapies. The company is led by President and CEO Henry “Chip” Appelbaum. Novian plans to use the new capital to conduct multicenter clinical trials of its nonsurgical Novilase Interstitial Laser Therapy (ILT) in the U.S., Britain and France. Patient enrollment for the U.S. multicenter trials has already begun and enrollment in Britain and France is planned to commence soon. The company has a subsidiary in Evry, France. Novian will also seek to close an additional $2.5M in the current financing round.
