In March it delivered a record number of prescriptions, growing 20% month-over-month, and reported March revenue of $2.7 million. NowRX currently serves the San Francisco Bay Area, Orange County–Los Angeles, and Phoenix, Arizona, and plans to offer services nationwide. Its product positioning has been described as an "Uber for pharmaceuticals/prescriptions." NowRx operates a technology-enabled pharmacy platform that combines proprietary pharmacy management software (QuickFill v3.5), end-to-end robotic dispensing, and HIPAA-trained last-mile drivers to provide free same-day and same-hour prescription delivery. The company routes refill orders to high-tech micro-fulfillment centers, where robots sort, count, bottle, and label medications and the QuickFill suite streamlines insurance approvals and applies drug coupons. A prescription analytics platform provides physicians visibility into prescription status, insurance approvals, and delivery confirmation to enable collaboration among clinicians, pharmacists, and patients. One year after launching the company serves more than 3,000 customers and currently operates from a warehouse in Mountain View, CA serving the San Francisco peninsula. The $2M seed funding will be used to continue expansion, with two new warehouse locations planned short-term and additional warehouses and market expansion slated for future funding.
