Overview
Founded in 2017, London-based nPlan has assembled what it calls the world’s largest dataset of 750,000 completed project schedules worth more than $2.5 trillion across 10 countries. Its deep-learning platform generates probabilistic forecasts that surface hidden risks before they cause costly delays, a capability the company says has already saved clients over $1.2 billion on active projects valued above $500 billion. Flagship customers include Chevron, Shell, MTR Hong Kong, NEOM, HS2, Network Rail, the Transpennine Route Upgrade and Anglian Water. Beyond its core risk-prediction engine, nPlan has launched Barry (an AI decision-support assistant), Schedule Studio (a generative AI tool that turns scope documents into full schedules in seconds), Insights Pro (forecasting and risk management) and nPlan Portfolio (portfolio-level risk analysis). The new capital will expand the London headquarters and grow the footprint in North America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific while accelerating R&D in predictive and generative AI. Notable angel backers include Sir Demis Hassabis, Sir Ian Davis and Lord David Prior, and earlier institutional investors include GV, Pentech Ventures and LocalGlobe.
