Overview
Nuclide Therapeutics (NTx) is a biotechnology spin-out from King’s College London’s School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences that is engineering a proprietary platform of ALDH1A1-targeted radiotheranostics. These radioactive compounds are designed to both image and destroy cancer cells that have proved resistant to standard treatments, with particularly strong preclinical results in lung and ovarian cancers. The company’s lead candidates have demonstrated exceptional efficacy in animal models and are now being prepared for first-in-human clinical trials. A recently secured £5 million milestone-based investment provides the capital to advance these programs into the clinic and expand the platform into additional cancer indications. Nuclide’s founding team emerged from King’s Spinout Accelerator Cohort, benefiting from masterclasses and coaching that helped translate their academic research. Marathon Beteiligungs AG, a German investor with deep radiopharmaceutical expertise, supplied the entire round and will serve as a strategic partner. The financing positions NTx to accelerate development of other pipeline assets while maintaining scientific excellence and translational focus.
