Numerade operates a platform with a library of more than one million handcrafted STEM video lessons and an AI tutor product aimed at replacing private tutors. The company says it has helped 20 million students with content ranging from pre-algebra to quantum mechanics. Numerade will use the new funding to expand its lesson video library and further develop its proprietary AI tutor technology. The firm positions its service as a low-cost way to provide access to top-tier educators and to close education inequity exacerbated by COVID-19. Numerade is based in Los Angeles and plans to reach millions more students and educators across geographic and socioeconomic borders. CEO and founder Nhon Ma emphasized the funding will enable personalized asynchronous lessons that democratize access to high-quality instruction.
