Numetric is a Salt Lake City, UT–based business analytics platform led by founder and CEO Robert Sweeney. Its platform enables users of all expertise levels to quickly access and analyze spreadsheet‑crashing volumes of data. The company serves corporate customers including Lenovo and Shell as well as state governments from New York to Utah. In April 2017 Numetric raised nearly $13M in funding. The company intends to use the proceeds to further build out its team and platform. Nicolas Wittenborn of Insight Venture Partners will join the board as part of the financing. Numetric provides a third-generation BI platform designed to make data exploration fast and accessible to non-analyst business users, operating alone or in tandem with other data management platforms. The product emphasizes instant, intuitive access to business data and is positioned as cloud-native. Numetric has attracted customers across retail, education, transportation and government, including Costa Vida, Orbit Irrigation and Freshly Picked. To support growth it has pursued strategic funding and board expansion. The company announced $3.75 million in new funding, capped by a $1.5 million investment from EPIC Ventures. Leadership additions include the appointment of Greg Butterfield as Chairman of the board.
