Overview
Nuna is a San Francisco-based developer of a national data platform for Medicaid. The company provides an AWS cloud-built data platform that ingests, aggregates, and analyzes healthcare information to enable employers, health plans and policymakers to deliver actionable insights. Its platform aims to answer questions related to cost, quality, and access to care. Nuna launched out of stealth after raising more than $90m in funding and will use the funds to scale its team and operations to serve more customers. The company was founded in 2010 by Jini Kim and David Chen. Jini Kim previously worked as a product manager with Google Health and was a key member of the team that saved the rollout of Healthcare.gov; David Chen was previously a Senior Data Scientist at Netflix and a graduate of the biomedical informatics training program at Stanford.
