NURVV

Parkshot House 5 Kew Road, Richmond upon Thames, TW9 2PR, United Kingdom

Overview

NURVV builds biomechanics wearables in the form of sensor-packed insoles and the NURVV Run coaching app. The insoles contain 32 sensors that capture data at 1,000 times per second per sensor to measure cadence, step length, footstrike, pronation and balance. The system feeds raw foot-level metrics into live coaching to help runners improve technique, pace and detect potential injury, which the company says is more accurate than wrist-worn devices for certain metrics. NURVV was launched at CES 2020 and its product has been featured in Wired, CNET and Gear Patrol and tested by the UK’s National Physical Laboratory over three years. The founders, Jason and Ulrica Roberts, drew on Jason’s experience founding smartphone-case maker Tech21. The company plans to use new funding to bring NURVV Run to a global market and to fund further R&D.
