Nutrinsic produces ProFloc™, a high-quality protein ingredient for animal nutrition made using a patented process that upcycles nutrients lost in food and beverage plant wastewater treatment. The company intends to use new funding to continue to grow its sustainable protein business. It is building its first U.S. production facility in Trenton, Ohio, slated to come online by year-end 2014. A facility in China has been operational for several months and is co-owned by Nutrinsic and other partners in a joint venture. Leo Gingras serves as Chief Executive Officer.
