Nuweba
Montefiore St 27, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel
Overview
Nuweba provides a SaaS-based function-as-a-service platform that enables companies to run serverless for user-facing applications, mission-critical workloads and other core workloads without changing code or ecosystem. The platform supports GPUs and is optimized for AI/ML use cases, aiming to bring serverless to the mainstream. Nuweba emerged from stealth in February 2019 and is led by CEO Ido Neeman. The company plans to use the new funds to support further technological development of the platform and to build a variety of solutions on top of it. Financially, Nuweba expanded its seed funding round to $10.2M. Nuweba provides a serverless platform that its team says is ten times faster and more scalable than existing solutions, delivering 8–40ms invocation latency without container reuse. The platform is compatible with major serverless services including AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, and Google Cloud Functions, and supports one-click migration of functions. Nuweba focuses on solving three core serverless obstacles: speed, security, and visibility. The company emerged from stealth as it announced $4.8 million in funding to advance the product. CEO Ido Neeman and CTO Yan Cybulski bring cybersecurity experience from an elite Israel Defence Forces technology unit, which the company says informed its approach. Management positions Nuweba to make serverless suitable for user-facing, mission-critical, and time-sensitive applications.
