NVELO develops Dataplex, a host-based storage caching product that uses a small SSD as a high-performance cache for an existing HDD. Dataplex is compatible with desktop and notebook computers. The company intends to use the Series A proceeds to expand the Dataplex product line for consumer computing and to launch a new Dataplex storage product designed specifically for server storage caching. NVELO closed a $6.6M Series A financing led by SKS Capital. The company is led by founder and CEO Jiurong Cheng and was formed as a spin-off during the acquisition of Denali Software by Cadence Design Systems. Cadence Design Systems holds an equity investment in the company.
