Nxtra operates one of India’s largest data center networks with around 300 MW of capacity across 14 core data centers and over 120 edge sites. The company offers colocation, cloud infrastructure, disaster recovery and edge computing services and is positioning itself as an AI-driven infrastructure provider using AI for predictive maintenance, energy efficiency and automated operations. Nxtra plans to scale capacity to 1 GW over the next few years and is targeting roughly 25% market share in India’s expanding data center market. It is expanding its pipeline with new AI-ready campuses in cities such as Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata and pursuing partnerships with global technology companies for large-scale deployments. The company was valued at approximately $3.1 billion post-closing after the announced $1 billion investment led by Alpha Wave Global, Carlyle and Anchorage Capital, with Airtel retaining control.
