Nylah's Naturals makes vegan, non-toxic haircare formulated for people with textured and afro hair; the founder began researching ingredients in 2013 and officially launched the business in 2018. The brand was inspired by founder Kameese Davis's daughter, Nylah, who has eczema and sensitivities to many commercial hair products. Products use naturally occurring, non-toxic ingredients and target a market underserved by mainstream haircare. The company has attracted attention from national media and previously appeared on Dragons' Den, where Dragon Sara Davies pledged £50,000 in 2021 although that deal later did not go ahead. Current plans include launching a UK subscription offer and pursuing international expansion, with a state-by-state approach to the US. Recent hires include executive chairman Bob Holt (formerly CEO of Revolution Beauty) and clinical adviser Sharon Wong, a dermatologist and hair-loss specialist, to support product and commercial growth.
