Founded in 2020, Bengaluru-based Oben Electric builds city-focused electric motorcycles and produces core components such as LFP battery packs, motors, chargers, and vehicle electronics in-house at a plant capable of 100,000 units per year. Its flagship model, the Rorr EZ Sigma, offers features like reverse mode and a connected TFT display and is sold both in showrooms and online via Amazon and Flipkart. The company operates more than 85 showrooms across 70 cities in 18 states and plans to scale to 150 outlets by March 2026 and 500 outlets within the following two years. Management targets Rs 100 crore in revenue in FY26, expects cost-of-goods-sold break-even by March 2026, and aims for EBITDA break-even by 2027. Oben differentiates through full vertical integration, over 25 patents, and R&D-led design, allowing tighter cost control and faster product iteration. Cumulatively, the startup has raised about Rs 285 crore (~$34 million) to fund its growth and product roadmap.
