Led by CEO Willem Sundblad, the company focuses on applying AI to resolve an industry-wide productivity plateau. Oden intends to use the new funding to accelerate development of AI products that address pressing manufacturing pain points. Financially, the company completed a $28.5M Series B to support that product roadmap. Oden Technologies builds retrofittable Industrial IoT hardware paired with a cloud analytics platform and software adaptors that integrate ERP and quality-control systems to give manufacturers real-time factory-floor visibility. Its device plugs into a wide range of machines to capture process, health and quality metrics (for example melt pressure, temperature profiles, dimensional readouts, RPM, motor load and production speed). Oden analyzes that raw data to surface alerts, identify defects and degrading performance, and recommend throughput and uptime optimizations that reduce waste and increase efficiency. The company positions its offering as enabling "perfect production": faster, cheaper manufacturing with less scrap. Oden recently hired Deepak Turaga as VP of Data Science to advance its machine‑learning and AI capabilities. It will use new funding to expand R&D and engineering in New York and to grow sales teams in manufacturing hubs across Illinois, Ohio and Texas.
