Overview
Odico A/S is developing a large-scale composite 3D printer and leads a research consortium to produce robot-driven high-speed 3D-printed thermoset casting formwork. The consortium project, named Thermoform — Robotic Thermoset Printing of Large Scale Construction Formwork — aims to create an accelerated fiber-reinforced 3D-printing method for freeform formwork. The technology is intended for infrastructure applications such as bridges, tunnels, wind-turbine foundations and hydropower structures, and is expected to enable advanced, material-optimized concrete designs in conventional construction. The project has a total budget of DKK21.4 million and is scheduled to start in Q2 2021 and run for four years. Odico will receive up to DKK5.4 million of the DKK15.9 million investment from Innovationsfonden to the consortium. The investment requires a cooperation and investment agreement between consortium partners by mid-March 2021 and the company states the project will not affect its expectations for the current financial year. CEO Anders Bundsgaard is listed as a contact and the company is based in Odense.
