Ohoskin develops a sustainable, vegan alternative to animal skin made from oranges and prickly pear blades, aimed at the luxury materials market. The startup targets automotive, fashion, marine and furniture sectors with this plant-based material. It closed a €300,000 pre-seed round underwritten by Motor Valley Accelerator and CDP Venture Capital using resources dedicated to supporting female entrepreneurship (MiSE). These resources are in addition to more than €100,000 Ohoskin received as an initial investment ticket after being selected by Motor Valley Accelerator. With the new capital the company plans to expand its product offering and team, and to prepare for an official seed round in September to accelerate international growth.
