Olimpe Technology
40 rue Chef de baie, Site CreatioTech, La Rochelle, 17000, France
Overview
Founded in 2015 in La Rochelle, Olimpe Technology has developed an inline electrolysis device that generates hypochlorous acid from the mineral salts naturally present in tap water, eliminating pathogens without added chemicals, storage or plastic containers. Originally designed to make livestock drinking water potable, the solution now targets surface, hand and water disinfection in hospitals, schools, supermarkets and other public venues. Clients already include Léa Nature, Intermarché, Super U, Leclerc and several public high schools. The wall-mounted or one-cubic-meter units cost €8,000–€20,000, offering a one-to-three-year return on investment by removing rinsing steps and reducing cleaning time. Fully manufactured in France, the technology produces disinfectant on demand and reverts to neutral water after about 20 minutes of light exposure. Olimpe posted €300,000 in revenue but aims to reach €6 million by 2028. To hit that goal, the company plans to triple its workforce this year, build a dedicated sales team and begin international expansion in 2026.
