Founded in 2024 by Dusan Komar, Dennis Weinbender and Laslo Horvath, Ominimo builds and distributes motor insurance products combining insurance expertise, data science and software development. The company uses highly segmented, data-driven pricing and proprietary insurance technology to improve pricing accuracy, automate operations and simplify the customer experience. It works with established insurance, distribution and claims partners while progressing toward obtaining its own insurance licence. Ominimo reported rapid growth in annualised gross written premium run-rate: approximately €26.3 million in 2024, €157.8 million in 2025, and currently about €306.8 million. The company is profitable, employs about 130 people—around two-thirds in data science or software development—and plans to grow headcount to roughly 150 by year-end. It launched in Hungary in 2024 and expanded into Poland, the Netherlands and Sweden, and is preparing to enter Belgium, Romania, Spain, Italy, France and the United States, targeting U.S. operations in 2027.
