Overview
Omnipresent provides a tech-enabled, SaaS global employment platform (OmniPlatform) that manages onboarding through offboarding in more than 160 countries, handling compliance, payroll, expenses and benefits. The company acts as the legal employer on clients’ behalf in each jurisdiction, delivering local contracts, tax contributions and competitive benefits. Omnipresent is fully remote with no corporate headquarters and has grown from a team of two to more than 230 people distributed across 40+ countries since 2019. During 2021 the business grew its team 10X and revenue 25X. Proceeds from the latest financing will be used to build new products and services, accelerate customer growth and fund geographic expansion. The company plans to hire several hundred additional employees, with a recruitment focus on engineering and tech talent to support product expansion and jurisdictional expertise. Omnipresent provides a tech-enabled platform that acts as the local employer in each country, enabling companies to onboard employees compliantly in 150 countries. It supplies local contracts, handles tax contributions, and offers local and international benefits such as health insurance, pensions and equity options. The company aims to grow its share of the international employment market as remote work becomes mainstream. Omnipresent was founded by Matthew Wilson and Guenther Eisinger while part of Entrepreneur First’s London cohort in 2019 and scaled rapidly after a July 2020 seed round. It raised a €12.3M Series A just five months after that seed to continue expanding coverage and product capabilities. The team says it has exceeded ambitious targets and scaled coverage to over 150 countries. Omnipresent offers a "global employment-as-a-service" combining an automation-focused technology platform with a network of local legal firms to handle payroll, benefits, compliance, taxes and other HR admin for international teams. The London-based startup raised $2 million in seed funding to accelerate expansion. The company plans to reach a total of 80 markets by the end of this year. Co-founders and co-CEOs Matt Wilson and Dr. Guenther Eisinger (a former Major in the Austrian Special Forces) lead the business. Investors and the founders point to increased remote-work and Covid-19–driven compliance challenges as the market opportunity. The new capital is intended to scale the platform and global coverage.
