ONAGOfly
Kansas City, Missouri, United States
Overview
ONAGOfly is a palm-sized (0.3 lb) GPS-enabled drone designed for automated selfies using smile detection and obstacle-avoidance sensors. It includes a 15 MP camera, 1080p HD video, throw-and-fly capability, peer-to-peer live streaming, and control via Android or iOS over Wi‑Fi up to 66 feet. The drone is wind-resistant (approximately 1.6–3.3 m/s) and intentionally weighs under 0.55 lbs so it does not require FAA registration. During its Indiegogo campaign the drone was offered at $199 (rising to $299 after the campaign). The campaign had raised more than $1.8 million from nearly 9,000 backers with 11 days remaining. Backers were promised delivery in March 2016, and the campaign coverage suggests the product may already be in production.
