OncoMark is a University College Dublin spin-out diagnostics company focused on developing novel panels of cancer biomarkers to aid treatment decisions and enable more tailored patient management. Its lead product, OncoMasTR, is a novel prognostic test for early-stage breast cancer designed to reduce the number of patients receiving unnecessary chemotherapy. The company has been clinically validating OncoMasTR and was previously awarded €2.7m through the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument Phase 2 to support that validation. OncoMark is translating the test from clinical validation toward regulatory approval and full commercialisation. The business is co-founded by Professor William Gallagher and Steve Penney and is led by CEO Des O’Leary. The company is headquartered at NovaUCD, the Centre for New Ventures and Entrepreneurs.
