Overview
Oncovita is a biotechnology spin-off from Institut Pasteur that develops therapeutic and prophylactic vaccines using a proprietary MeasovirR platform which modifies the measles vaccine virus to enhance anti-tumor properties. Its lead candidate, MVdeltaC (MVP-06-01), is an immunotherapeutic cancer vaccine whose immuno-oncolytic efficacy has been demonstrated in multiple in vitro and in vivo tumor models and documented in the scientific literature. Preclinical pharmacology and regulatory safety trials for MVdeltaC are being finalized, and promising results were presented at the International Society for Vaccines congress in October 2023. The company plans to produce a first clinical batch and initiate a Phase 1/2a basket trial across five solid tumor types in 2025, alongside translational studies to identify markers of tumor sensitivity. Oncovita also intends to develop an innovative industrial production process for MVdeltaC (and potentially other candidates) and is in advanced discussions with a leading CDMO to sign a collaboration agreement. Financially, Oncovita has secured €8.0 million in financing to accelerate its preclinical and early clinical development program.
