One BioMed is a Singapore-based healthcare startup founded in 2016 by CEO Dr. Mi Kyoung Park as a spin-off of A*STAR. It is developing platform technologies for diagnostic testing, centered on an automated sample-preparation device that purifies and isolates nucleic acids from a wide variety of samples. The company positions this device as the foundation for next-generation platforms, aiming to integrate molecular diagnostic tools and its proprietary silicon biophotonics sensing technology. Future plans include commercializing the first product and building point-of-care infectious disease detection systems. One BioMed closed a US$5M Series A to support commercialization of its initial product.
