Overview
One-carbon Therapeutics is focused on oncology drug development, with its lead asset TH9619 targeting the cancer-specific enzymes MTHFD1 and MTHFD2 within the one-carbon metabolic pathway. TH9619 is a potent, dual inhibitor that kills cancer cells by trapping folate to deplete thymidine and by disrupting DNA damage-repair pathways. The candidate is currently being evaluated in the ODIN Phase I/II first-in-human, multicentre, open-label study assessing safety, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and preliminary anti-tumour activity in patients with advanced refractory solid tumours such as colorectal, non-small cell lung, head & neck, gastric and gastroesophageal junction cancers. Trial sites are active in the United Kingdom, France and Spain, with additional European centres slated to join shortly. Proceeds from the latest financing will bolster the company’s balance sheet and fund the expansion of the ODIN trial. Management emphasises rapid execution to bring this potential new therapy to patients. No revenue, user, or other operating metrics have been disclosed.
