OneHourTranslation operates a crowdsourced translation platform that promises a one-hour-per-page turnaround by routing work to a pool of active translators. The Tel Aviv–based company has processed 2.5 million projects to date and uses some 15,000 active translators to fulfill client requests. It employs 50 people worldwide and says it will double its staff and support personnel following the raise. Over half of the company’s employees are women, a trend the founders intend to continue. The company’s founders are Lior Libman, Ofer Shoshan, Oren Yagev, and Yaron Kaufman. Proceeds will be used to continue international growth.
