Overview
OneSchool is a free mobile app for college students that aggregates campus maps, course schedules, directories, bus routes, news, student groups and a bulletin-board "Wall" into a single mobile destination. The app is available on the mobile web, iPhone, Android and Windows Phone and requires an @edu address to sign up. OneSchool officially launched today across eight universities — Penn State, Stanford, Yale, Columbia, UCLA, University of Illinois at Urbana‑Champaign, University of Houston and University of Waterloo — after a testing period that began in late August. The company reports strong early adoption: at Penn State it estimates roughly 16,000 downloads (about 83% of campus iPhone/Android users) and around 50% adoption among undergraduates at the other supported schools. OneSchool has a 150-school waitlist and is considering crowdsourcing techniques to accelerate onboarding of new campuses. Founders include CEO David Adewumi (24), CTO Pindi Albert (18) and Zach Johnston (20).
